^Lot 300 Winchester Model 1892 .38-40 #108198

Vintage lever-action rifle manufactured circa 1899. The rifle has been professionally restored. Features a 24" octagonal barrel, dovetailed blade front sight, blade is polished, fully adjustable buckhorn rear sights, full length tube magazine. Smooth straight wrist stock and forearm with crescent steel buttplate. All metal parts have been refinished in a high polish blue with the exception of the left & right locking bolts, front sight blade and the spring cover in the loading gate which are polished, the bore is fair to good, bright, strong rifling, has scattered light pin-prick pitting, the action is smooth, the wood is overall very good/sound with minor scratches/dings, a little finish loss from handling. The Winchester markings are a little feint from the refinish but all readable. The refinish is excellent, looks really nice.
